Canadian Big Band

The prestigious 2024 Canadian Men’s Senior Championship, presented by BDO will be hosted at Saugeen Golf Club! The SGC has partnered with the Canadian Big Band Celebration's Friday Night Jazz & Blues Event to present the Canadian Big Band.
The 17 piece Canadian Big Band is a professional big band whose membership includes some of the most talented musicians in Canada including former members of the Grammy award winning Rob McConnell's Boss Brass.
You can expect a very entertaining evening of jazz.

Noodle Factory Jazz Project - Bruce County’s Original Little Big Band

This 10-piece band plays original arrangements and compositions in the jazz tradition but they are by no means traditional. Their music often blurs the lines between genres and draws its inspiration from many sources including classical, rock, funk, jazz and R&B. With some of the best musicians from the area, this band has plenty of great soloists to feature and is sure to entertain. The Chris Murphy Band

The Chris Murphy Band has been the opening act for: Johnny Winter, The Powder Blues Band and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
Saxophonist / Vocalist, Chris Murphy is a Canadian blues artist, based in London On. He has released three recordings: Blowin’ the Horn (1999), I’m a Happy Guy (2005) & Hotwired (2010), they have been featured on CBC and College radio stations. He has been nominated 12 X’s for the Maple Blues Award and was presented three times with the Jack Richardson Music Award for Blues. He is currently working on his 4th recording.
Chris has also been featured on recordings by Jack deKeyzer (4), the Maple Blues Revue (2) and recordings with Benoit, Chicago Pete, The Old Chicago Blues Band, Uptown Blooze and the Forest City Jazz Band. He has toured with The Last Waltz Live (12 years), The Jack deKeyzer Band (6 years), The Maple Blues Revue (19 years), Chicago Pete (3 years) and Alberta Adams (2 years).
Some of the internationally famous artists he has worked with include: Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Peter Appleyard, Cleo Laine, Della Reece, Little Anthony and the Temptations.

Blues Night featuring Patrick Dunning and “Rising Stars”

Patrick Dunning is a well-known and respected blues guitarist, singer and band leader from the area who has a true passion for live Blues performance. He has established a very popular monthly Blues Jam to the delight of many guitarists, harmonica and horn players in the region and beyond. The Blues Jam aXracts performers of all ages for an enjoyable evening of listening, performing and sharing of musical approaches to performing the Blues. Patrick performs regularly throughout the area with his own band.

The Sapsuckers have been entertaining bar and festival crowds for the last 16 years with their own high energy brand of Blues, Rock and Country. Covering artists such as Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Elvis, CCR, Johnny Cash and a few originals. With howling guitar licks and wailing harmonica solos the band will get you movin’.
